Industrial Visit
Year 2019-20
Dnyan Ganga Education Trust College of Arts, Commerce and Science had organised an Industrial Visit from 20th February 2020 to 27th February 2020 for 7 nights and 8 days to Chandigarh, Kullu, Manali. The students gathered a lot of Practical knowledge which they were yearning for .The IV trip was very fruitful, informative and knowledge gaining for the students.Total 123 students and 06 teachers were a part of the 2019-20 IV trip.
Industrial Visit Details:
On 22nd February , 2020 IV group visited Inter Solar system Pvt. Ltd.
On 25th February, 2020 IV group visited the Sai shawl factory.
Year 2021-22
- A heritage walk and visit to the Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalay (CSMVS) was organized by the department on 23rd February 2022 to acquaint the history of Mumbai and the importance of the museum. Also, to inculcate the respect for heritage in students. A total of 18 students attended this visit along with two faculty members.
- A field visit to Patnopada Village, Yeoor was organized by the department on 12th March 2022 to explain the various observation methods and techniques of geographical data collection. Also, to have an insight into rural setup. A total of 13 students attended this visit along with two faculty members.
- BBI Coordinator Asst Prof Shubha Shah and BBI Faculty member Asst Prof Shweta Bajpai successfully arranged an educational visit for BBI students on 6th January 2022 to NKGSB Bank to enhance students knowledge about the various banks and banking services offered by banks. Total 30 students visited the bank with us.The procedures to apply for various banking services like savings account, loan, filling of pay in slip, cheques,deposit slip etc.The students were introduced to current banking trends and the general administration of the bank . Students were also enlightened about the various career opportunities in the banking industry.
- BBI Coordinator Asst Prof Shubha Shah and BBI Faculty member Asst Prof Shweta Bajpai successfully arranged a social visit for all the BBI students to Angels Old Care Home (Ghodbunder branch)to help those who need help, love and affection.Total 30 students visited the old age with us We spent quality time with them , greeted and chit chatted with them which gave them immense happiness.We distributed some grocery and food items. It was an overwhelming experience for us. Initially, it was quite difficult to digest the reality that we witnessed the elderly parents not being taken care of and being neglected by their families. The visit was a life-changing experience for all of us , as it was filled with many emotions and sentiments along with a bunch of valuable life-lessons. The old age homes are the last hopes of old people to lead better lives.Attendance of the old care visit was taken offline.Students were taken by bus from college to the old care home . It was a very successful and an emotional visit amidst the pandemic.
Year 2022-23
- A historical visit to the Pune was organized by the department on 4th March 2023 to acquaint the history of Pune and to inculcate the respect for heritage. A total of 15 students attended this visit along with two faculty members.
- On 16th February 2023, BAMMC department went for an Educational Field Visit. Field trips have their own charm!! 23 students from the BAMMC department joined the trip. The trip covered places of photography including Plaza at Dadar, Dadar Chowpatty, Maratha Mandir, streets of CST, Worli, Marine Drive, National Museum of Indian Cinema and Sassoon Dock Art Festival, etc
On 9th January 2023 the students of Dnyan Ganga Educational Trust’s Degree College of Arts, Commerce and Science were taken to Parle G Ltd by Asst. Prof. Shubha Shah and Asst. Prof. Sumit Kuchekar. It was a good learning experience. The knowledge of the students was enhanced as they got to practically see the whole confectionery production process.
On 10th January 2023 the students of Dnyan Ganga Educational Trust’s Degree College of Arts, Commerce and Science were taken to Sahyadri farms by Asst Prof Shubha Shah and Asst Prof Sumit Kuchekar.The students learnt and understood about manufacturing process of pulps, juices and frozen products, packaging process of grapes for export, lab and test facility, weather sensor lab, skill development lab, tissue culture lab, mango frozen pulp[ product], sweet corn processing for frozen production, packaging and distribution process and warehouse for all products.
Year 2023-24
BCOM department in collaboration with the BMS department organized a field visit for degree college students to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Monetary Museum, State Central Library, and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on 17th January ‘2024.
A total of 75 students went for the field visit. The field visit provided valuable insights into India’s monetary system, economic history, and financial markets.
The visit also offered a unique opportunity to witness the functioning of these institutions firsthand and understand their contribution to the nation’s progress.
The experience deepened the understanding of monetary policy, cultural heritage, and capital markets, thereby enriching the knowledge and perspective of the participants.
Students of Dnyan Ganga Education Trust’s DEGREE COLLEGE OF ARTS, COMMERCE & SCIENCE, Thane, were taken for an industrial visit to Goa, to a rexine manufacturing industry called Polynova, Goa from 26th February to 29th February 2024.
The visit was organized to give them insight into the production, operations, and marketing process in the industry. Other objectives included making them aware of the connection between theory and practice/practical applications.
Students learned various aspects related to the organization, its techniques, and methods. They gained practical knowledge of the actual workings of the organization. They also studied different departments and their processes, coordination with each other, its objectives, vision, and mission.
Later, during the next two days, they were taken to tour the various places as said in the itinerary to promote cultural and social learning.
