NSS UNIT of Dnyan Ganga Education Trust’s Degree College of Arts, Commerce & Science has been awarded as the Best Bamboo Handicrafts Seller & Best Supporter for Seva Vivek NGO.
In a meeting with Honourable Former President of India Ram Nath Kovind on 29th November 2023 in New Delhi, Dr. Anita Patil More, Director of DGET presented the memento – National Emblem of India made of Bamboo by Tribal Women of Palghar District.
Mr. Amit More, Educational Consultant & Director of DGET was also present in this meeting.
NSS Unit of DGET Degree College is extending a support for the Entrepreneurship Skills of Tribal Women of Palghar District by selling Bamboo Handicrafts & Eco-friendly Bamboo Rakhis.
Under the guidance of Dr. Bhavika Karkera, Principal of DGET Degree College, in the last three academic years number of activities has been conducted to promote and sell the bamboo handicrafts amongst the various stakeholders of the institute and community by the NSS Unit.
Around 1760 Eco-friendly Bamboo Rakhis & 150 Bamboo Handicrafts are sold by the NSS volunteers of the college on different festivals under the leadership of Asst. Prof. Sampada Mavalankar, NSS Programme Officer of the DGET Degree College.
